Speech in Focus, Speech Pathology Services is a friendly, experienced and family centered practice offering assessments and therapy for children and adults. The speech pathology team provides services in speech, language, stuttering, social thinking, literacy and swallowing.
Speech in Focus, Speech Pathology Services' belief is to make changes in the person's life and their world for the better.
Our speech pathologists regularly meet to collaborate and apply the best practices to deliver the optimal therapy outcomes for our clients.
Our practice is custom designed, featuring expansive windows allowing natural light in from every angle. The waiting area is spacious with ample seating. Children are welcomed with beanbags to rest in and a range of toys and books to enjoy whilst waiting. Our consultation rooms are designed with your comfort and therapy needs in mind. We are well resourced to respond to communication and swallowing needs for young children through to adulthood.
Meet Our Team
Evett Lattouf, Director and Principal Speech Pathologist
Evett Lattouf is a Co-Director andCertified Practising Speech Pathologist, who qualified from the University of Sydney with a B. App. Sc. (Speech Pathology), and La Trobe University Victoria with a Grad. Cert. (Dysphagia). Evett is certified with Hanen's 'It Takes Two To Talk' and 'More Than Words' programmes. She is an English and Lebanese speaking speech pathologist.
She is a member of Speech Pathology Australia and a registered provider with:
- Private Health Insurance Funds
- Medicare Australia for the Chronic Diseases Management Plan.
Her experiences include intellectual and developmental disabilities, language delays, learning difficulties, speech sound disorders, pragmatics, autism spectrum disorders, literacy, bilingual language, voice, feeding and swallowing difficulties as well as augmentative and alternative communication.
She has worked in education, disability services, aged care facilities, supported accommodation, community health, hospitals and in private practice.
Charlotte Lau, Certified Practising Speech Pathologist
Charlotte Lau is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist and a member of Speech Pathology Australia, anda registered provider with:

- Medicare Australia for the Chronic Diseases Management Plan
Charlotte completed her studies at the University of Sydney, with a Bachelor of Applied Sciences (Speech Pathology).
She has experience working with preschool and school aged children and young adults with a range of communication difficulties. She also has experience working with autism spectrum disorders, global developmental delays and intellectual disabilities. She has delivered services in a range of settings including preschools, schools, private practice and homes. She is an English and Cantonese speaking speech pathologist.
Her particular interests are speech sound disorders, developmental language delays, literacy and social communication.
Christine Merhi, Certified Practising Speech Pathologist
Christine Merhi is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist and a member of Speech Pathology Australia.
Christine Merhi joined the team at Speech in Focus, Speech Pathology Services in 2017.
She has completed her bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology and has successfully completed numerous clinical placements where she has delivered speech pathology assessments and intervention to children and adults. She is familiar with services across a range of contexts including primary schools, private practice, aged care facilities and telepractice.
Christine shares in our desire to facilitate change and to support clients in developing life-long communication skills. She enjoys working closely with families and drawing upon evidence-based knowledge to provide tailored, yet effective, intervention to each client.
George Lattouf, Director
George Lattouf is the Co-Director, ICT and Practice Manager at Speech in Focus, Speech Pathology Services and has a Cert IV in Business (Small Business Management). George implements and maintains our business systems, technologies and infrastructure, and is responsible for the smooth running of the practise.
George worked for 11 years at a North Shore high school supporting students and staff with a wide range of digital media technologies, and worked in the telecommunications industry for 16 years prior to that.
George speaks English and Lebanese fluently.
